Salvage & materials
A beautifully worn chair. A stack of old breeze blocks. Timber with a history you can see in the grain. Some things are too good to leave behind. We help imagine their next chapter, finding a place for original pieces in the spaces we live with today.
Mid-century studies
Good design deserves another life.

Reclaimed walnut, sculpted arms, and moss-green upholstery give a new lounge chair its character. An original furniture concept exploring the possibilities of rescued timber and careful craftsmanship.

Design rendering
Start with the piece that catches your eye
Sometimes a project begins with a place. Sometimes it begins with a single find: a sculptural block, a vintage cabinet, an old door, or a length of timber. We are interested in what drew you to it, what gives it character, and how it might become part of something larger.
Keep the character. Give it a purpose.
The aim is to keep what makes a piece special while helping it work in everyday life. That could mean restoring a chair for a favorite corner, giving an original cabinet a new role, or turning reclaimed timber into a simple bench. Wear and age can be part of the appeal; the right approach depends on the piece and how you hope to use it.
Mid-century details worth carrying forward
Breeze blocks, long-format brick, timber screens, original hardware, and well-made furniture can hold the character of a mid-century home. We explore how to retain or reintroduce those details with care for the whole place, from the room they sit in to the garden beyond.
A second life in the landscape
Salvaged pieces can bring warmth and continuity outdoors. Old brick might become a courtyard floor, reclaimed timber a place to sit, or vintage block a screen that filters a view. We consider their scale, condition, and relationship to planting, light, and the surrounding house.
Finding, restoring, and reimagining
We welcome projects that involve searching for the right piece, exploring a restoration, or developing something new from a collection of finds. Some ideas call for a maker or specialist restorer; others begin with a small repair or a change of setting. We help develop the direction and bring the appropriate people into the conversation.
When an original is missing
A damaged or discontinued block does not have to end the story of a pattern. We can explore recreating vintage blocks using measured references, 3D scanning, digital modeling, and prototypes. New pieces are developed with attention to how they will sit beside the original, with samples helping establish the right direction.
Bring the find. Bring the idea.
Have something you cannot quite part with—or a piece you would love to build a project around? Send a few photographs and tell us what caught your attention. We are open to collaborations and experimentation, from one thoughtful object to a larger collection of rescued details.
